White Lee and Millstones

White Lee is a small group of dwellings on the Manchester Road, at the foot of Pule Hill and above Hey Green, at approximately 830 feet asl. Millstones is a terrace on the other side of the road.

Note: the average age was much lower in Millstones than White Lee - Millstones was quite a young community in 1881, and all the inhabitants who were born outside Marsden lived there.
